Welcome to FashionBeautyInsight. I’m Gabrielle. FashionBeautyInsight is an online chronicle of my personal style, viewpoints on wearable trends and beauty created with an intent to give everyday style inspiration. In other words, this blog is about fashion as I see it.

FashionBeautyInsight was founded when I moved from my home-town in Nairobi, Kenya to New York City.  Just after I arrived, a friend who was working at CondeNast arranged an impromptu tour for me to Glamour and Lucky magazines. I still remember how surreal it felt walking through the various fashion closets.  Then I attended NY Fashion Week out of curiosity and was charmed by the pulsating energy of the fashion scene. These are the two events that set me on the path to exploring personal style and eventually this blog.

Prior to living in the US, I was quite content with denim-sneakers lifestyle which drove my friends crazy, understandably so, since I wore them no matter the occasion. I still like the simplicity of tees and jeans but have grown to love an outrageous pair of heels. And my friends have grown to love me…We are still working on the atonement part.

My fashion high is definitely shoes. I would love to be a shoe designer in the future.
