South Africa’s Darryl Jagga is arguably one of Africa’s most seasoned designers owing to stints at household designer houses like Clavin Klien and Chaiken. With extensive experience as a designer and living in fashion capitals, it’s predictable that Darryl’s collections are diverse and influenced by art and architecture from around the world. Darryl’s penchant for dress is evident in his label, 4346aggaj,(the numbers 43, 46 are the birth years of his parents) which primarily encompasses  feminine pieces dipped in details of eclectic patterns and geometric shapes.  At African Fashion Week, later this month, Darryl’s concentration of superbly executed details of pleats, drapes, tucks and gathers  is anticipated to elevate classic dresses to graceful chic(and leave me drooling!).
